WHAT WE BELIEVE
SALVATION
We believe that Salvation is through Faith in Jesus Christ, His divinity, atoning death on the cross and resurrection. We believe that this is the exclusive means for salvation. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9)
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the sole authority in all matters of practice and faith and that it is infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts . (2 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 8:20)
THE FATHER
We believe that God the Father is the sovereign creator of all, just, righteous, good, Holy, loving and merciful, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. (Psalm 139:7-101, John 3:20, Revelation 4:8, Romans 1:32, Ephesians 2:4, John 3:16, Matthew 19:26, Psalm 115:3)
JESUS
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah foretold in prophecy, that He is the son of God, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit within Marry being fully God and fully Man. That He is God being part of the Holy Trinity, that He lived a perfect sinless life on this earth and died for the sins of all Mankind and that He rose from the grave 3 days later and now intercedes before the Father. (Titus 2:13, Isaiah 9:6, Hebrews 2:14-17, Luke 1:34-35, Hebrews 4:13, Matthew 26:47 to 27:50, 1 John 2:2, 1 Corinthians 15:1-7, Hebrews 4:14-15)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, that He is indeed a person and not a force, that He has always been active, but even more so now that He indwells the believers in Christ and participates in the process of progressive sanctification of the believer and that the sign gifts have ceased. (Ephesians 4:30, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
SIN AND MAN
We believe that Mankind was plagued with a sin nature upon its fall in the garden with Adam and Eve, thus making every human inherently wicked. Therefore we believe that each human that is born is sinful by nature and that because of this sinful nature man cannot enter into a relationship with God and is damned to Hell upon death and eternal separation from God in the Lake of fire for eternity. (Romans 5:12, Romans 6:6, Romans 3:10, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Matthew 13:42)
ESCHATOLOGY
We believe in the pretribulation and premillennial total rapture of the Church. We believe in the physical return of our Lord Jesus Christ at the end of the tribulation, and in His earthly millennial kingdom and rule, this is the second coming. (Revelations 3:10, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, Revelations 19:11-16, Revelations 20:2-7)
BAPTIST DISTINCTIVES
We believe in the sole authority of Scripture in all matters of faith and life, we believe in the independence and autonomy of the local church, we believe in the priesthood of the believer having direct access to God, we believe in the two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ, believers baptism and the Lord ’s Supper. We believe in individual soul liberty, in the separation of church and State, in the two male offices of Pastor and Deacon. We believe in saved church membership and in congregational government.
